A 1146 mile cycle ride from Land's End to John o' Groats

Day 10 – St Helens to Morecambe

61 miles today. We were dry as we cycled up through Appley Bridge and then on to Leyland, but then the drizzle set in all the way until we reached Morecambe. Wet through again, but feeling pretty good. Forecast looks bleak, but getting used to it.

Another flattish day. More cycle paths, but this time good choices. From Glasson Dock to Lancaster (misty and eerie), then a Sustran’s route all the way to Morecambe.

My parents (Joe’s grandparents) and my sister and her family met us in Morecambe. It was great to see them all.

Joe’s just finished washing all his cycling gear in the shower with the Berkeley Guest House’s shampoo. Hopefully it’ll be dry by the morning.
