A 1146 mile cycle ride from Land's End to John o' Groats

Day 3 – Delabole to Oakhampton

A grey and fairly chilly day of long slow uphills and fast descents. Our route took us up onto Bodmin Moor, through Launceston, and then along the ‘broody flanks of Dartmoor’ (pinched from the guidebook), rising to 1000ft above. Then along along the Granite Cycle Path and down into Oakhampton.

Arrived at B&B really early after a 45 mile ride. 2.30pm! Beginning to think we should have planned to cycle further each day. Never mind, at least we arrive feeling ok and have time to go into town to see Spiderman at the cinema.
