A 1146 mile cycle ride from Land's End to John o' Groats

We’ve reached our £1000 target

As soon as we knew we’d be cycling from Land’s End to John 0′ Groats, we knew we’d want to raise money for charity.

A family friend’s two sons were diagnosed with Duchenne, a genetic muscle wasting disease, so Action Duchenne seemed the obvious choice.

While setting up a JustGiving fundraising page, one of the sections to fill in is the ‘target’ amount of money you’d ideally like to raise for your chosen charity. We thought about it for a while. £500 sounded a sensible goal, but maybe we should aim higher. We set our sights at £1000.

This evening, Lily, my daughter and Joe’s sister, came home from her Saturday job and took £16 cash out of her purse and handed it to us. It was enough to take us to £1004. Thanks Lily, you’re great.

We’d like to say a massive thank-you to all the people who have helped us reach our taget. We really do appreciate your support.

Next stop £2000?
